In the mining environment, the air ventilation is important for safety. Abrasion and anti-static will always be a hard requirement.
PE duct is light and economical to make it popular, and it is also flexible in use.
However, reinforced PVC will be a good choice to resist in abrasion.
And the anti-static/ exploosion proof reinforced PVC will be the best choice for places with hazardous gas.
Lay-flat and spiral type are both available in such material, and they can be folded/ collapsed for easy transportation and storage.
In the underground work, such as the underground pipelines, cablelines, tunnel, and the confined spaces as tank and granary, fresh air cannot get in or to be exhausted out. The flexible duct is used to connect to a blower/ exhaust fan in such places, for air blowing in or exhausting bad air, in order to provide the fresh air or to exhaust any oxygen shortage, fume, toxic gas and heat that generate from welding, for a safe and comfortable environment.
There are customers in US/ Erope and domestic China that order/ OEM the PCA ducts.
They are mainly used for cool/ warm air transport to the aircraft cabin/ bridge in airport when connection to the ground air conditioner.
Constructed with the insulation, it can well keep the tmeprature of the air, cool/ warm, in long distant trasportation. So as to make it energy saving without much engery loss.
The insulation can be cotton insulation and also aluminum buffle film.
The cotton insulation is commonly used in the market, while the upgraded aluminum bubble film insulation is with light weight and the feature of water repallent.
Along with the wire strip, it can well protect the duct from abrasion for a long term use.
Negative pressure duct for Marine
In the ship building and maintainance, negative duct is alwyas required.
Because the ship is in large volume, with many different spaces, but the fresh air cannot get in easily, not even about air exhaust.
Then the Marine duct is always used, in negative pressure design, with shorter wire distance so as to keep the duct shape even when it is used for air/ smoke/ fume suction in high pressure up to 8000Pa.
The common flexible PVC duct is used for air supply / exhaust.
It is ways used in long distant air transportation.
For places where flesh air is difficult to get in, or places that air is difficult to be exhausted, it's better to use a flexible duct, because the flexible duct can be used for suppying fresh air or exhausting bad air easily, Most importantly it can be connected between the ducts for longer distant even though there is obstacles between the machine and the room, flexible duct is often ok to work.
